  1. Will this liberty ROM work on a rooted .596 gingerbread? I would love to buy the donate version of liberty. Just gotta see if it works first though.

  2. Hey sorry to ask, but I’m a bit new to this stuff mate.
So this ROM is for the Rooted Gingerbread 2.3.3?
    Thanks mate.
    Have a nice day.

    • Mike im on .7 from the donated toolbox it will be released within the next few days and ill post it here… if u want to try .6 just make s nandroid backup in d2bootstrap

  3. hi sorry to ask this…i updated to liberty gb v.8 and everything kinda workd but not the 3g/data.
im noticing i liked better the gingerbread official update..
so , is there anyway to go back from liberty gb v.8 to gingerbread 2.3.3?
i mean to my original settings cause liberty gb is not letting me go back into sbf.
i need my 3g/data always and i cant make it work.sorry im a fool i know..
i dont know what i did wrong but i need help..id greatly appreciate it.

    • liberty is not causing you to loose your 3g… if you want to go back to stock you could flash a nandroid backup… assuming you made one… or sbf to stock and then reflash the .596 two part patched update

  4. Hey DMX,
I got liberty tools running on my 2.3.3 following this guide
but when i try to change my framework animations, pulldown bar editor, fonts
none of them show a change after reboot.
I am also trying to get CRT power down animation on it
Will I be able to do it through liberty?
and how come these changes don’t take place at all?

    thank you for you help

    • I installed it the manual way, without the nightlies and it worked out great.
but is the CRT TV power down animation possible with the liberty rom?

  5. I had the same thing as oskar kings. Well I was running .8 for a while and it wouldnt pair with my headset..so I did a wipe and reinstalled it. Now no matter how many times i sbf to froyo and upgrade up to liberty .8…it says I have 3g and I am connected but pages instantly time out and it wont let me connect to anything (market, google account, nothing). If i turn on wifi I can get online but thats it. I can also make calls and send txts but thats it. I have tried *228 stuff…nothing works anymore.

    • I fixed it if you have data connectivity issues just sbf to .340, install gb 596 from this site, after that installs I let the phone reboot then promptly went back into droid 2 bootstrap. I cleared cache, dalvik, and factory reset several times each. Then manually installed .8 and it worked flawlessly!
